It seems that after I updated MacOS to Tahoe 26.2 the IDE does not show selected text if over multiples lines correctly. This is a nightmare to work with, as it does not show selected text and can make you delete (overwrite) lines while editing.
Anyone else? Is there a setting to fix it?

My ticket was automatically closed after a week or so. In their response they told me that they would fix it in the next release. I checked it in the next release and it was not fixed.
I also got an automated message asking me to give them an appraisal. Well I did not respond.
And this bug is still not fixed.

On macOS, this functionality doesn't work yet with Tahoe 26.5.1.
This bug is still not fixed.

I can confirm the issue is not addressed with STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1 on macOS Tahoe 26.5.1.
My understanding is that this issue is caused by a macOS Tahoe (26.x) regression in SWT, the UI toolkit Eclipse (and therefore CubeIDE) is built on. Copy/paste still works because the selection exists internally — it just isn't being rendered on screen.
Right now it appears that Eclipse 4.38 has been patched for the SWT 3.132.0 change needed for Tahoe, but that those patches have not made it into the version ST is using for STM32CubeIDE. There is information online about how to copy the SWT Cocoa fragment from a downloaded Eclipse 4.38 build into the STM32CubeIDE folder, but I'll leave that exercise to the individual, since it is not really a good or easy solution. It involves extracting and copying .jar files over the ones in STM32CubeIDE.
