STSPIN840 Setting overcurrent values

mnguyen1

Is the overcurrent protection set to 3A on the STSPIN840? If so, is there a way to change the trip value of the overcurrent protection to better align with its application? I want to change it so that the overcurrent trips at 1A. Thank you!

Welcome @mnguyen1, to the community!

The overcurrent protection is designed to protect the MOSFETs and has a fixed rating of typically 3A, max. 3.5A. The low-side shunts connected to SENSEA and SENSEB on each full bridge are used for the control and limiting functions.

Hope that answers your question?
