I recently attempted to migrate from CMSIS V1 to CMSIS V2 to take advantage of additional features and found that function definitions are missing for functions prefaced by osMemoryPool...(...). as found here: https://github.com/ARM-software/CMSIS-FreeRTOS/blob/0c140fa5b650c4275a40c4a09fe2a34947e6cd22/CMSIS/RTOS2/FreeRTOS/Source/cmsis_os2.c
