MacOS "No ST-Link detected!" on stm32cubeide

After the update, I was unable to run or debug on my nucleo-l053r8 on MacOS Big Sur V11.4.

Hi sorry I just started to learn how to use stm32 boards. What's power cycle? Is it using ST-Link utility?

Power cycle just means turn it off and back on again. In this case, by unplugging and replugging the USB cable.

oh yup definitely, including reinstalling the stm32cudeide and driver.

I didn't find a solution yet and the weird part is that I created a partition and did a fresh install. It works... so it is most likely not MacOS 11.4 issue

My workaround now is using Clion(student account) with openOCD as both using the same toolchain (STM32CubeIDE).
