Are you talking about software or hardware spi ?

Have a look at the following appnotes in the download section AN 970, AN 972 and also the st7 library Regards sjo

AN972 gives details of a software spi master, a slave device is a lot more complicated and would be better done using the hardware spi cell. Can you not use this as it is present on all st7's
