What options/methods are there for the STM32F103CBT6 if we want to upload new software and check if it is ok, before we run it? I see options like dual NVM bank. But dont think it applies to the 32F103. regards, rob

Correct, the STM32F103 was the first STM32 on the market and is therefore somewhat older. A firmware update incl. a pre-check before the run is therefore only possible with a connected host, which can reprogram if necessary.

Some newer derivatives also have Dual Bank Flash, with which such firmware updates can be carried out perfectly during operation, e.g. as FOTA.
