An application created directly for the configurator where TIM3_CH! is set to PB4 where the internal clock is either ticked or not ticked it crashes at if (HAL_TIM_PWM_Init(&htim3) != HAL_OK) with No source available for "uwTickPrio() at 0x20000004"

What board is this? Is BOOT0 pulled low?

Make sure that ST-LINK V programmer as your programmer/debugger.

Maybe stack corruption occurred in your application.
