Why have ST CAN protection devices such low capacitance that CAN datarate is not so fast?
Yes, the bandwidth of ESDCAN is more than enough to address highest speed CAN.
The idea is to save as much as possible the capacitance budget of the total CAN line to preserve the margin for the layout and the other components on the line. Example the CAN transceivers capacitance may vary from one vendor to another.
